GYSA NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

PURPOSE:

Greater Youth Sports Association (“GYSA”) is committed to ensuring equal access to all of its programs and services. In alignment with our mission to serve disadvantaged and disenfranchised youth, including many from minority and low-income households, we affirm that every child deserves the opportunity to participate in our programs in an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and free from discrimination.

POLICIES:

Equal Access

GYSA prohibits discrimination in program participation or service delivery on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, or any other protected category under federal or state law.

Commitment to Inclusion

While our programs are designed to meet the needs of disadvantaged and underserved children, all children are welcome regardless of background, identity, or circumstances.

Reporting and Resolution

Any participant, parent/guardian, or community member who believes they have been discriminated against in connection with GYSA programs may report their concern to the Executive Director or the Board of Directors. Reports will be reviewed promptly and addressed in good faith.

Compliance

This policy is consistent with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other applicable federal and state civil rights laws.
