GYSA Hosts 2nd Cheer Showcase, Uniting Squads Across Vegas
Las Vegas, NV — The energy was high and the spirit even higher on Saturday, April 26, 2025, as Greater Youth Sports Association (GYSA) hosted its 2nd Annual Spring Cheer Showcase at SLAM Academy in Las Vegas. This high-energy event brought together nearly 100 young cheerleaders from across the Las Vegas valley to perform, compete, and celebrate the power of teamwork, talent, and confidence.
The event featured a range of exciting competition categories including Timeout Routine, Show Routine, and an Exhibition Category for teams that wished to perform without the pressure of competition. Whether competing or simply showcasing, each squad brought passion and personality to the stage, thrilling the crowd with dynamic stunts, creative choreography, and unwavering spirit.
Top honors were awarded to:
Nevada Rise Narwhals – Timeout Routine Category Winner
Futuro Academy – Show Routine Category Winner

The Showcase was made possible thanks to the support of GYSA’s partners and dedicated volunteers. A distinguished panel of judges brought their expertise to the event, including:
McKenna and Claudia, Las Vegas Raiderettes
Jaeda Badua, UNLV Cheerleader
Pricilla Lara, Rancho High School Cheerleader
The event was emceed by Bonnie and Briana Mercado, dynamic leaders and COOs of Mercado Marketing and Public Relations, whose energy and enthusiasm kept the crowd engaged from start to finish. Music for the event was masterfully provided by DJ Galaxy Queen, setting the perfect tone for each routine and celebration.

“The Showcase was about more than just cheer—it was about building confidence, creating memories, and celebrating the incredible young athletes who represent the best of our community,” said Annalise Lullo, Co-Founder of GYSA. “We’re incredibly grateful to our partners, families, and cheerleaders who helped make this event such a success.”
The GYSA Spring Cheer Showcase continues to grow each year as a platform for youth to express themselves through sport, build strong team bonds, and shine in front of their community.
