Greater Youth Sports Association Named Finalist for Henderson Nonprofit of the Year

Greater Youth Sports Association (GYSA) is honored to announce that we have been selected as a finalist for Henderson Nonprofit of the Year.

This recognition highlights the incredible impact our organization continues to make in the Southern Nevada community by providing accessible youth sports, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities for elementary school students across the Las Vegas Valley.

GYSA was founded with a simple but powerful mission: create opportunities for kids to grow through sports, mentorship, and positive community experiences. What started as a small effort to bring sports programming to local schools has grown into a movement that now serves hundreds of student-athletes each season across multiple elementary schools.

Through our programs, students are able to participate in sports such as:

• Flag Football
• Basketball
• Soccer
• Track & Field
• Cheerleading

Beyond competition, our programs emphasize teamwork, discipline, mentorship, and character development, ensuring that every child has a safe and supportive environment to grow both on and off the field.

Building Community Through Youth Sports

GYSA works closely with schools, families, community partners, and local leaders to expand access to youth sports programs that many students would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience.
