A New School Year, A Stronger GYSA

As the school year begins, we at Greater Youth Sports Association (GYSA) are filled with pride, gratitude, and excitement for what’s ahead. This year marks 8 incredible years of delivering more than just sports—we’ve built a movement rooted in growth, opportunity, and community.

Over the past eight years, GYSA has impacted the lives of over 10,000 children across Southern Nevada. What started as a vision to bring affordable youth sports directly to elementary schools has grown into the #1 elementary sports program in Nevada—and that’s thanks to the unwavering support of our schools, families, partners, and volunteers.

Our Impact, By the Numbers & Beyond:

• 10,000+ youth served through after-school sports and enrichment

• Partnerships with professional sports teams including the Las Vegas Raiders, Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Aces, and UNLV Athletics

• Collaborations with institutions like UNLV and College of Southern Nevada (CSN) to expand access and opportunity

• Signature events like Character & Awards Night, where over 2,000 students and families gathered to celebrate youth achievement, leadership, and perseverance

But beyond numbers and events, our greatest accomplishment remains the same:

Providing students the opportunity to grow—on and off the field—through affordable, accessible, and enriching sports programming.

As we step into this new school year, we’re more committed than ever to our mission: to use sports as a powerful tool for teaching life skills, building confidence, and strengthening communities.
